SCHOOL TOUR – 1ST/2ND CLASS BOYS:
Boys are going to the Mardyke Arena for an activity-filled day for their school tour this Thursday 17th May, leaving school at 9:00a.m and returning at normal time. The total cost for each boy for the school tour is €16 which also includes the bus, please bring in if not already paid.
The boys should bring:
Food: We have the school lunches as normal that day, so the boys can bring whatever they would normally bring to school. As this is an active day we would encourage them not to bring any junk food.
Drink: Ideally a bottle of water, or something else re-sealable.
Clothes: Every boy should wear their school tracksuit and have a coat with them for the walk. Shorts may be worn underneath the tracksuit pants.
No money is needed as we will not be stopping in shops.

Boys are going to Fota for their school tour on Wednesday 13th June. Bus leaves school at 9:30a.m. and returning to school at normal time. The total cost for each boy for the school tour is €15 which also includes the bus.

Cork City Sports Day is on this Friday, 18th May.  Boys will be racing at 3:10p.m and will be back in school anytime between 4:30p.m. to 5:00p.m. depending on results. Boys can also be collected at the City Sports grounds after their race.

School Sports Day is on Friday, June 8th in St. Vincents H&F Pitch.

Wednesday 23rd May – 2nd classes & 5th class are doing a Polish workshop in City Library.
New 1st & 2nd class boys are visiting school on Tuesday, 22nd May at 1:20p.m.

We are delighted to be one of the first schools to win the Gradam Sports Flag from Sciath na Scoil.  This is an award which acknowledges our commitment to sport in the school. Well done Mr. Casey and Mr. Russell for all your hard work. The Gradam Sports Flag was raised today and a big thank you to St. Vincents coaches who came to see the flag being raised.

SPEECH & LANGUAGE THERAPISTS :
We are very lucky to have Speech & Language Therapists working with our children over the last few weeks. This programme will finish next week. Thank you to Speech & Language Therapists Ailbhe and Grace from the H.S.E. and also to U.C.C. who participated in the project.
Also in placement from early-childhood studies U.C.C. are Deirdre O Driscoll and Shauna Mcloughlin who are finishing up this Friday, a big thank you for all the help over the last few months.
